Nonprofits are at the heart of West Marin. Our communities rely on an essential network of organizations whose tireless work uplifts all who live, work, study, and visit West Marin. Our mission is to empower our nonprofit partners through grantmaking and professional support, and to build an engaging, collaborative community for all who want to see our region thrive.
Whether it’s applying for a grant, administrative support, or getting together to collaborate on shared challenges and goals, we’re here to help. Read on to learn about the ways we work with nonprofits. On behalf of all of us, thank you for all you do!
Grantmaking is the heart of what we do. We provide financial support to the many nonprofits working to make life better for everyone in West Marin, from starting preschool to starting a small business, from having a safe place to call home to having reliable transportation to get there. Our grantmaking aligns with our strategic vision to address immediate issues and build long-term resilience in our region.
Nonprofits work tirelessly to support their communities. To do their best work, nonprofits need support, too. The Fund for West Marin provides skill-building workshops, trainings, opportunities for shared learning, and dedicated grants to empower nonprofit partners in their missions.
We bring together diverse partners across our region to align resources, avoid duplication of efforts, and ensure that community voices are heard. We facilitate collaborative networks, including the West Marin Collaborative, which serves as a central hub to encourage dialogue and coordinate efforts across the region, and the Executive Directors Group, where nonprofit leaders come together and strategize collaborative approaches to shared challenges.
